Know the 3 Seasons for Booking Your Destination Wedding

If you're considering a destination wedding at an all-inclusive resort, it's important to keep in mind that the time of year you choose to get married can significantly impact the cost of your wedding. As a destination wedding planner and travel agent, I'm here to discuss how booking during different seasons can affect the cost of your all-inclusive resort wedding.

There are 3 seasons for booking destination weddings.  Commonly referred to as (in order of expense):

  1. High

  2. Moderate/Shoulder

  3. Low

First and foremost, it's important to understand that the high season for weddings at all-inclusive resorts is typically from January to April, and July. During this time, resorts tend to have higher rates due to the popularity of destination weddings, vacations to the Caribbean during colder months and the demand for accommodations. If you choose to get married during this time, you can expect to pay a premium for your wedding package and your guests will pay a premium for their accommodations.

On the other hand, the low and moderate season for weddings at all-inclusive resorts is typically from May to November/early December. During this time, resorts tend to offer lower rates and more flexible packages as they try to attract visitors during the slower months. If you're looking to save money on your destination wedding, booking during the low season may be a good option for you.

It's also important to keep in mind that weather can play a significant role in the cost of your wedding. Hurricane season in the Caribbean runs from June to the end of October, which can affect the availability of certain wedding packages and venues. However, if you're willing to take the risk, you may be able to secure lower rates for your wedding during this time.

Ultimately, the time of year you choose to get married at an all-inclusive resort will depend on your personal preferences and budget.
